Frequently Asked Questions

With Campership, will there be anything to pay?

We ask that parents/guardians contribute about $100 per camper. This can be further addressed at your in-person discussion. The contribution may be paid by cash, cheque, VISA, or MasterCard once your Campership application has been approved.

What sessions can be covered with Campership?

All sessions are eligible for Campership assistance.

How long does the decision making process take?

Processing time ranges between one and two weeks. Please ensure your application is complete to avoid any delays. You will be informed by telephone of the amount of financial assistance available to you.

Is there a deadline for applying for Campership?

Completed forms must be in the Camp Artaban Office at least two weeks before the desired camp session to qualify for a Campership. Applications are processed on a ‘first come, first served’ basis while funding is available, so the earlier we receive your application the better.

If I am on Income Assistance or Disability Assistance, can I still apply for Campership?

If you are on Income Assistance or Disability Assistance, you may be eligible for a supplement from the government to fully or partially cover the cost of attendance at Camp Artaban. We ask that you speak to Income and Disability Assistance Services or your social worker to see if you are eligible before applying for Campership.
