At Camp Artaban, we believe that every child and family should have the opportunity to go to camp. We recognize that due to financial constraints that this is not always possible. With this in mind, Camp Artaban created the Campership program. Through our generous donors we have a fund to help those who could not otherwise afford it, to send a child to camp or attend as a family.
If you would like financial support for you and/or your children to go to camp, please read through this page, where you will find answers to frequently asked questions, as well as links to all the forms you will need in order to apply for Campership funding. What sessions can be covered with Campership?
All sessions are eligible for Campership assistance.
With Campership, will there be anything to pay?
We ask that parents/guardians contribute about $100 per camper. This can be further addressed at your in-person discussion. The contribution may be paid by cash, cheque, VISA or MasterCard once your Campership application has been approved.
If I am on Income Assistance or Disability Assistance, can I still apply for Campership?
If you are on Income Assistance or Disability Assistance, you may be eligible for a supplement from the government to fully or partially cover the cost of attendance at Camp Artaban. We ask that you speak to Income and Disability Assistance Services or your social worker to see if you are eligible before applying for Campership.
How long does the decision making process take?
Processing time ranges between one and two weeks. Please ensure your application is complete to avoid any delays. You will be informed by telephone of the amount of financial assistance available to you.
Is there a deadline for applying for Campership?
Completed forms must be in the Camp Artaban Office at least two weeks before the desired camp session to qualify for a Campership. Applications are processed on a ‘first come, first served’ basis while funding is available, so the earlier we receive your application the better.
How to Apply:
- Complete a Registration Form and Health Form for each camper (either online or download a hard copy)
- Complete a Campership Application Form (either online or download a hard copy)
