Volunteers are the backbone of Camp Artaban. It is through their tireless and selfless effort that we are able to forge ahead and fulfill the mission statement:
The Purpose of Camp Artaban is to bring people into a significant relationship with God, and with each other, in a loving community.
There are many ways you can get involved with Camp Artaban. We have needs onsite as well as in town.
Most weekends when Camp is not in session, work parties are busy sprucing up the camp as well as tackling some major projects. At the beginning and the end of the summer, Camp opening and closing weekends get camp ready for campers and the winter respectively. All you need to be part of a work party is a good attitude and a willingness to get stuck in. You don’t need any special skills, although we don’t mind if you do! Summer Volunteer Staff
Each camp requires many volunteers to ensure campers are well cared for during their week at camp. We need energetic folk to be counselors, lifeguards, craft directors, sports directors and theme leaders, to name but a few. If you would like to come up and help, please click here to be taken to the staff pages which includes links to application forms.
Camp Artaban hosts many fundraising and information sharing events around the city. We are always on the look out for volunteers to help with upcoming events such as the annual Cream Tea.
We will be re-establishing the committees which are key in keeping camp running smoothly all year round. Committees currently include: Marketing and PR, Volunteer Management, Health and Safety and Program. If you would like to be part of any of the committees, please email the Office and let us know.
